Rediscovering Eden
Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the bright and morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Who Am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
and watch me rise again
Who Am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
I am Yours

Should I or Should I not?

Today was spent doing translation. It was a continuation of what I had done last week. In a nutshell, I am translating an English Christian Handbook to Chinese for the ministry in C. Its tough work I must say, especially with all the terminology. But I pray each time before I do the translation and its a powerful weapon because each time I do so, the words and phrasing just come so naturally. The special thing is that when I translate, I actually have to process the meaning of the words because when translating, we translate the meaning of the words more than the literal words themselves. I found out many things that I thought I knew but did not(like things about generational curses etc.) When I translated things that I already knew, the information was either reinforced or I had a new perspective to that piece of information. But the minus point of doing this was that I started to become fidgety towards the end. Started surfing the net and doing things except translating. I am always like that, when I am doing something and its going to reach the final point, I start to rush through this. Ha! I can't believe I am actually this bit close to finishing the translation. Still have some finishing touches to go and a final read-through before I can submit.
Just received the email from Meiting regarding a visit trip to BUCM(Beijing University of Chinese Medicine)which would be my school for my final two years. Should I go for the trip or not? I want to go overseas for a holiday and since this is a visit, it would be something like a holiday. But considering the fact that I just came back from China and that I am involved in FOC and
, I don't know.

VIDEO CAM IS FUN
Sharon and I were playing around with her video-cam and she was speaking through her mike so on my side it sounded like my computer was speaking. My mother probably thought that the computer was mad. Ha. The above may not make sense because she was speaking while I was typing. Thats why its me typing all the way. Oh and by the way, FYI, the thing that I blew up was the screen cause it was way too small for view and when I did so, I only saw her mouth, her teeth to be exact.

Last friday, I went for EYN and ps daniel ong's family was there. Cassandra and Katrina and Sean gave a special number, following which Sean preached. I liked the way he shared because it was not boring(not that normal ones are boring) and it was really very applicable in my life, in fact, many youths were touched. Hearing the way he spoke, I was like'wow', he is like around my age but everything he shares is really from the heart, when will i ever be able to share that way? I cannot really remember everything but one thing that I remembered was to really to be content and satisfied with my lot, with whatever the Lord has given to me. Many people in the world are unhappy despite having a lot. I mean, even some of the super rich people are unhappy and some, even unsatisfied with their life. Indeed, if we are not content with whatever we have, even if we have the best of everything by world standards, we will still have something to complain about. Earlier, before I reached church, I walked past this girl who is physically and mentally(i think)handicapped. As I walked past her, I suddenly felt so fortunate that, hey, I am blessed in the sense that, i am physically and mentally normal. I am not being condescending or anything but its just that at that moment, I was so thankful to Him for creating me this way and I felt bad for the many times I have grumbled about not having this, and not having that or grumbling and complaining about why life is this and that.
Sean also shared about the many times where we as youths have taken the driver's seat, rather than letting the Lord be the driver of our lives. Many times, its about letting go and not being rash and brash about stuff. He said that whenever we try to plan our lives, many times, it does not work out that way(how true). I really felt that this part of the sermon/sharing was really speaking to me about certain issues that I was/am trying to grapple with at this point of my life(eg.the conflicting nature of my tcm which is part of my coursework and Christianity etc.). I really thank God for answering prayers, answering questions that I did not even formulate but were confused about. I thank Him that everything is under His control and everything will work out well and good in His own timing and plan and purpose.
The will of God will not take you to where the grace of God can't keep you.

I just came back from NTUC. bot a moisturiser thats for the body. The auntie there was trying to market this follow-me brand but because of the packaging and partly because of the way she was advertising it, i din quite trust her. So i bot a vaseline aloevera and cucumber moisturiser. I quite regret doing so because i realise that now i smell like cucumber. The follow-me one smelt of powder which i din really like but its really better than smelling like a cucumber. Dots.

Sharon and I went to Weixin's place today cos we all decided that we were sick of orchard and the usual places. We just wanted some place to chill and talk. So, at first, the plan was to go to wx's hse and call delivery, den at some appropriate time, go to a cafe nearby called Go Fishing(intro by chien kai). Anyway, we din call delivery coz we reach late and had brunch at our own homes. We did not go to the cafe too coz its close on tues. So we jus went, watch i not stupid 2, play piano, and talk and talk and talk. Showed them the photos taken in CHina..Yea...I value the times we talk coz its rare that the three of us ever sit down just to talk. It beats the time we shop or walk around town aimlessly. Today was quite aimless i must say, but its nice sometimes to do stuff unplanned for, so that things r not so task-orientated and structured. oh..and we wanted to go to some peranakan restaurant called Ivins opp MGS but yea, we din too. We talked in wx's room till her grandma called us down for dinner. Her ah ma cooked 1,2,3...SIX dishes for us leh. haha..quite nice too..den aft that we continued talking and looking at wx's sec school pics(of course, got look at nj ppl that were from BP too la..hee), got some class photos from her, took photos of ourselves and ladada until sharon had to go. AND you noe WHY she had to go?coz she wanted to rush home to watch WORLD CUP-Germany VS Ecuador. Okay..but i dun like soccer/football-dont know the difference.hhaa...yea..planning to have a sleepover at sharon's place if i suceed in convincing my parents to let me go...hah

I rebonded my hair a few days ago and the hairdresser scratched my neck while washing my hair. At that point in time, I only felt pain(I have high threshold of pain) and my neck looked pretty normal. So I thought nothing of the scratch. The next day, when I woke up, i touched my neck and burst a blister, then I realised that there were MANY blisters on my neck. Panic* so I just applied antiseptic cream and went to church. For the entire week, my neck was blue-black and I either look like I was strangled or I looked as if I had tried to commit suicide. Argh..I did not go back to the shop which now I feel I should have. But like what can they do, and they will comfirm deny it flat. THe thing I am afraid now is not the scar, but whether there were germs or cells with who-knows-what-diseases in the hairdresser's nails that were transferred to my neck. coz it really looks BAD. Feel like giving the shop a piece of my mind but it seems as if its too late coz one week has passed. got to deal with that anyhow..how come i always kina this kinda thing?
In the evening, I went with my bro and dad to some carnival near my house. Apparently, the CDC build a Jurong Lake Park which ends next to Chinese Garden(as in the park, not the mrt station). Its really nice, got the West Coast like playground and blading and cycling and running tracks and it has nice scenery too. So during the carnival, my dad and bro were with my uncles and cousins and aunties and I wandered off. Walked into Chinese Garden and boy, its BIG, climbed the 7 storey pagoda to catch the wind, den decided to go back coz it was getting dark. So I decided to take another route to go back, halfway through that route, there was this sign that said"Japanese Garden not ready or something like that. No trespassing." And, i just walked straight into it without knowing that the area was Japanese Garden( i thought it was the area to my left then). So, I walked to the end which was very far and the gates were locked. I spotted a little opening next to the toilets and went through it. There was a bit of grass and the continuation of the lake. Was thinking if i should just jump and hope that i land on the grass on the otherside(its jumpable, coz the gap is quite small), or i sld jus walk back the way i came in which was fringgin long. So i chose the latter. It was very dark, so had to half run half walk half jog half call in JEANS. ok thats many halves. so heavy and hot. argh...yea..and it was kinda quiet..so somehow anyhow walk, thank God I made it out. haha...walk back to the jurong park. cant believe it, it has been a while since i lost my way.

My blog is dying..so I'm trying to revive it...
Am back from my one-month stay in china..yep...was a great trip i must say..eyeopener...away from the heat..love the cool weather esp in Kunming when it was 8-13 degrees when we first arrive. All of us thought that it was the aircon that made the place cool but when we stepped into the open, we realise that it was natural air-con. I was trying to blow in the air to form those airy stuff you get when you speak in super cold weather. Yea..but I failed..haha
The route to China was Sing-Bangkok-Chiangmai-Kunming. Then from Kunming we took a 7hr bus coach to Wenshan. The route back was in the reverse order. The pace of life there is very different from Singapore. Its slower and I felt more relaxed there(despite the toilets and the mud). Many things happened. Ask den I tell you la..hahah...
Btw, in Thailand, I ate crickets and silkworms...haha...they taste all right actually so its actually our own psychology that tells us that those are horrible. haha..now that I 'm back..for the first few days, I actually missed china and the communal stuff that the team did together. Was larding away in spore...now not so bad liao..haha..
but i wanna go for another trip...mayb phuket or smth...haha..
